Apart from the nutrients, sleep is also another essential factor that you must pay attention to.  Sleep is needed for bodily repairs.  A good night sleep of eight to ten hours is favorable enough to provide you with the sufficient rest that you need, as well as fitting body repair time for your body.  If you do not take the effort to have a good rest at night, most especially, tendency is, you will suffer from poor results.  Again, nutrition and rest are overly important in bodybuilding.  If you take the extra mile in adhering to this, then you will soon see instant results.

For an added boost of protein, protein shakes are perfect, as they are also very convenient.  However, do not just rely on such products to bolster your muscle weight gain.  Again, take note that you and your body needs a well-rounded diet, which must include healthy fats, protein and carbohydrates.  Get your calories from real foods to ascertain that you are getting all that you need.  Although protein powders are fitting aid to fill some gaps, but must not be taken as the only source of your food nutrients.  With proper diet and nutrition, together with self control, discipline and patience, it will only be a matter of time before you will have the body and the muscles you longed for.
