This is not only the first ever victory over England for Bangladesh but it's the first victory in 2010 too for them. 247 days delay for the Royal Bengal Tigers between this win and the last one. It was a big dream for Bangladesh that they would be able to achieve victory against all country in any format of cricket. But it was only England which team really took a long time to be hunted by the tigers. The three lions were on that particular day very keen to win. The low scoring match didn't show any Bangladeshi fan to win this game. Scoring a 250 runs in the first ODI wasn't enough for Bangladesh. England sealed that game and led the series 1-0. Where winning the 2nd ODI was only a dream for the tigers. They missed Roqibul Hasan who was the top scorer of the 1st match for injury. He was followed by Mushfiqur Rahim, the young-talented wicket keeper batsman of the Bangladeshi side, who was hit by the ball behind the stump being without helmet.

Agony and ecstasy: Jonathan Trott was left standing disconsolately at the crease after falling to Shafiul Islam, England v Bangladesh, 2nd ODI, Bristol, July 10, 2010

Mohammad Ashraful was the replacement of Roqibul and flew to Bristol only 14 hours before the toss! Ashraful failed again to show his natural talent by returning early in the dressing room. Opener Tamim Iqbal was also failed on that historic day where other opener Imrul Kayes was trying to do something for his side and made 76 runs from 187 balls before being caught by Collingwood in Shahzad's delivery.

Later in the Bangladesh innings, Mashrafe Mortaza's captain's knock of 21
from 26 delivery returned Bangladesh from being off the track. They ended up with 236 in 50 overs loosing 7 wickets.

England opening wicket partnership was destructive for Bangladesh. But they came back to the match by Rubel Hossain's 2 crucial wickets of top order which caused the start of England destruction. Then it was the time for Bangladesh bowlers. They were slow and steady to bind up England in a range. Jonathon Trott was the only man who stood in front of Bangladesh attack. Captain Mashrafe was the man who caught and bowled Anderson at number 9 and thought that was the finish of England innings and all of his team mates started to celebrate! Ian Bell was badly injured so that Bangladesh team thought that he won't come to bat. But Bell came with Morgan as his runner.

Last over was the 50/50 chance for both teams where only 10 runs needed. On the other hand Bangladesh was just in need of the last wicket. It was the thrilling moment of the game. Trott was on strike and at 90s. First 2 balls utilized 4 runs, 2 each. England was still in hope to win the game when it's only 6 need for England and Trott to celebrate the win as well as a century. But the length ball was tossed up, edged outside and caught behind by Johurul Islam, the wicket keeper.

Mashrafee, Shakib, Razzak, Shafiul and Rubel took 2 wickets each. Mashrafe Mortaza was at his 2nd match as captain and won that comfortably, he was named the man of the match as well for his all round activities.
