Whatever type of boating activity you may have, make sure that you get on board the right boat. The right boat can give you the most fun and enjoyable boating experience.
If you are going saltwater or freshwater
fishing, here are some boats that can go well with your fishing activity.
Airboat. This is often used in marshes and other shallow and grassy bodies of water. An airboat allows you to fish in areas that not many boats can reach.
Dinghy. This small, lightweight craft is usually less than 10 feet long and is convenient to carry on a vehicle top or on a cruiser to be motored or rowed ashore when the mother ship fails to take into the shallows. A dinghy boat makes an excellent companion for camping trips or fishing in smaller waters.
Flat boat. This specialized boat is mostly used in coastal areas where bonefish, permit, redfish, sea trout, snook and tarpon live. A flat boat can float and skim on water in depths of not more than two feet and can accommodate about three people.
Sports fishing boat. Built to make fishing easier and more convenient, this large boat is built for catching larger fish. It also often comes with a kitchen, plumbing area and a sleeping berth. Moreover, a sports fishing boat can stay on the water for several days.
Walk around boat. This boat is very popular when fishing salmon and other offshore marine species. The features of a walk around boat allow fishers to easily follow a big fish around the craft.
Meanwhile, boats for watersports activities
include the following:
Bowrider. A highly popular boat for watersports activities, the bowrider has a spacious seating in the front as well as swim platforms at the rear so you can swim, don your skis or simply dangle your feet on the water when the craft is at anchor. It also has highly powerful outboard engines as well.
Cuddy cabin. Similar to a bowrider, this boat is highly maneuverable and easy to run. It also has ample space for sleeping, plumbing and sometimes even a cooking area as well. A cuddy cabin is equipped with a towline, swim platform and sunpad, great for wakeboarding, tubing and skiing.
Inboard Wakeboard Boat. This boat is excellent for wakeboarders who want the thrill of launching from a giant wake as they move behind the craft. Its V-drive engine set near the transom, and deep hulls allow the boat to create a steep, huge wake that boarders will love. Seating is also more spacious, comfortable and open as well.
Inboard Ski boat. This boat resembles a bowrider but its hull’s shape, configuration, drive shaft, engine placement and propeller create a really slight wake that allows the skier to cross more easily. An inboard ski boat’s rapid acceleration enables very crisp turns, much to a skier’s delight and excitement.
Moreover, here are some great boat picks if
you simply want to spend time with your family or go cruising with your
friends:
Day Sailer. Usually smaller in size, a day sailer is designed for short boating cruises to nearby destinations. This quick craft is great for learning the basics of sailing and is also usually raced in regattas.
Motor Yacht. This is ideal for navigating larger rivers or lakes or cruising the ocean. It is also equipped with a generator and provides plush accommodations that are excellent for different types of social activities.
Pontoon boat. With amenities such as couches, swivel seats and lounges that allow boaters to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride in utmost comfort and relaxation on the water. It is also affordably priced with other smaller engines as well. When Pontoons can offer slow and lazy rides and are economically priced with smaller engines.
