Football Rookie of the Year
The Rookie of the Year awards are coming up, this is how I think it will end up:
In third place, I'm looking forward to Joe Flacco, the Ravens 18th Overall Pick Quarterback. I personally think he should get 2nd place, but, a lot of people will become biased and choose Matt Ryan, thanks to ESPN. He has 14 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and a respectable 78.2 Passer Rating in Week 16 of the NFL. He also has 2,674 Passing yards, averaging 178.26 yards per game. He has led a pathetic Raven's team to a wild card spot in the 2008-2009 playoffs.
I'm hoping as the runner up, Chris Johnson does the same thing(s) he did this year, next year. He could very well be the next Earl Campbell. He has already passed the 1,000 yard rushing mark in his rookie season, and has an above average 4.9 yards per carry, while Walter Payton, c
And in Number 1, once again thanks to ESPN, Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan through a touchdown pass in his first game, on the first drive, on the first pass. On Brett Favre's first pass, Favre through an interception. Matt has averaged 218 yards per game, and a stunning 89.7 rating, which is gold rated for a rookie. Peyton Manning's rookie rating was 71.2. Just like Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan has led an underclass team to the playoffs. This team was stunned by what happened to their QB Michael Vick, in the dogfighting cases. They won't be worrying about that anymore. Matt Ryan was also named the top young athlete in sports by ESPN. He was the only quarterback in the ballots.
