The Worm Shocker
Every fisherman knows the hastle of getting there stuff together,and the inconvience of buying worms.Worms cost money and money is time as we all know.To cut back on the price and the hastle,make a worm shocker.It is a rather simple project,and who knows you might enjoy it.
*Materials Needed*
1. A steel rod about 5 feet in length.
2. A wire any where from 4-5 feet in length.
3. Electrical tape
4. A wooden or rubber handle
To make a worm shocker,the first thing you will need to do is find a steel rod.Take the drop cord(electrical wire) and strip one end of it to where about three inches of the wire is exposed.The next step will be to attach the wire.You must do this with caution.Take one wire and attach it to the rod.When i say attach,i mean to wrap it tightly to the top of the rod so that it will not slip away.DO NOT attach both wires.After attaching one wire,tape it thourghly.Ensure that there is no rod showing where you attached the wire.Take the second wire and tape it on top of the first taped wire.This will ensure the righ
t currency is entering the ground.Next you will need a handle.The handle cand be either rubber or wooden,it doesnt matter.Attach this to the top of the rod,above where you attached the wire.Also make sure there is no cracks in the handle.If there is a crack,you could be shocked.
To use the shocker,plug it into an eletrical socket.After doing this the rod will become live,so do not touch it.Push the rod down into the ground about 5 feet.Whilst doing this you should feel a vibration.If the rod dosent vibrat while being pushed into the ground,go to the eletrical plug-in and unplug the cord then switch it around.Plug it back up after doing this step.Rember the rod is live with electricty and can shock you if you touch it.Push it into the ground as i said befor.Wait about 5 minutes.Worms should start to emerge out of the ground at any time.If no worms come out,then switch to another spot.Keep repeating this step.I garuntee that you will never have to buy worms agin with this tool in hand.
