Top Prostpects For Baseball

This year in baseball it is all about milestones and top prospects.While Randy Johnson tries to win his 300th game of his career, A-Rod tries to reach his 600th home run of his career,Mariano Rivera tries to reach 500th save of his career and Jeff Conine goes for career hit 2000,there is start of a new and bright picther David Price .Lets start with the first overall prospect of the 2009 season.

The number one prospect for the 2009 season is left-handed picther David Price for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. David Price was a draft pick for the Los Angeles Dogers but instead decided to go to the universty of vanderbilt with a scholarship and picthed three years for the universty.On August 15 of 2007 he signed a 8.5 million plus a 5.6million signing bonus with the Devil Rays.He was assigned to they rays single-A vero beach affilate.Then moved up to the Double-A Montgomery biscuits and then moved up to the Triple-A Durham Bulls after going
11-0 in Single-A and Double-A. He made his first start in september 22 of 2008 aganist the Baltimore Orioles.He picthed in the second game of the 2008 World Series.

David Price was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee as an Altlanta Braves braves fan idolizing outfielder David Justice.Even thougth Price was called up in the 2008 season with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, he has been sent down to the Durham Bulls for the 2009 season but well soon be called up to the Rays in late May.He should be strong and healthy during his start in the 2009 season.As this gives you the expectations of the left-handed picther here are some other prospects to wacth out for in the 2009 season.
